Experiment on Perception and Narrative. I was playing around with the collage feature of PhotoshopExpress on my phone when I had an idea: What if I took these silhouette pictures I had taken as selfie’s with the Hyperspektiv iphone app and I let Photoshop Express decide how to lay them out… Would the resulting collaged shapes lend themselves toward strong narrative interpretations like inkblots? I have been exploring the idea that the phenomenal world is random chaos to which we are providing both the perception AND Its interpretation, and then knitting these threads into bundles of meaningful narrative for ourselves. He said that a picture is worth 1000 words, but is that also true of the pictures just randomly generated? what do you think? do the images suggest definitive and varied narratives or hint at a some scene or object you think you can identify? Do they tell you a story and isn that story complex and engaging?
